Vitamin Angels and Walgreens announced that they’ve reached 500 million women globally through their partnership, which provides vitamins and minerals to women, infants, and young children in underserved communities in the U.S. and 65 countries worldwide.

“For the past 12 years, Vitamin Angels and Walgreens have helped improve the health of a child or mom every second of every day. This is incredible! This milestone underscores the extraordinary impact a long-standing, mission-aligned nonprofit-corporate partnership can achieve,” said Ana Céspedes, Vitamin Angels CEO. “Together, we are proving that meaningful, global change is not only possible; it’s happening.”

By addressing critical nutrition gaps, the partnership is designed to promote global health equity, healthier pregnancies, better birth outcomes, and improved children’s growth and development.

Since 2013, Walgreens has donated 1% of vitamin and supplement products’ retail sales to Vitamin Angels. In 2024, the support enabled the Vitamin Angels U.S. program to reach 500,000 underserved pregnant women. That same year, the two companies also expanded their prenatal vitamin program, which provides free prenatal multivitamins and nutrition education to pregnant women in underserved communities in the U.S. in over 2,300 Walgreens locations nationwide. The program offers direct shipment options in select markets.
